Ice-cream and dessert buffet at Swensen's

Swensen's ice-cream buffet starts at $18.90 per adult
and $13.90 for kids aged 12 and below.

IF you are a sugar vampire like me, you will go gaga over
the ice-cream and dessert buffet at Swenson's new outlet
in Orchard Ion.

The buffet starts at $18.90 per adult and
$13.90 for kids aged 12 and below.

If you buy any dish (excluding soups, sides and salads),
the buffet will only cost $12.90. There were 54 flavours available,
but I found the durian ice-cream and gelato to be almost like
having actual durian.

Durian lovers will be delighted with the
heavy taste and smell. I am a chocoholic and I was spoilt for
choice with flavours such as sticky chewy chocolate, frozen
chocolate malt and choco peanut buttercup.

For those in search of a uniquely Singaporean taste,
try out the chendol and chempedak ice-creams.

Other special flavours include the sarsaparilla,
which is quite refreshing. The peanut and black sesame
gelato is also quite good.

For those who love to douse their ice-cream with toppings,
you can try out over 40 different toppings and sauces.

You can then bring it to the 'chop shop' counter where
the staff will chop and mix up the ingredients on a cold
marble slab to create your new sundae creation.

Those with a sweet tooth will also enjoy assorted dessert
items like waffles, cakes and other treats at the buffet.
There's a chocolate fountain for you to dip your marshmallows
and strawberries in.

We love all the flavours, whether they are fruit or nut based.
If you're going with a group, don't miss the Beef Lasagne
and Seafood Laksa Pasta. The lasagne is beefy enough
while the creamy Laksa gravy gives a nice kick to the pasta.
This is one of the most cheerful eateries in Ion Orchard.

With a never-ending queue at peak hours,
it's one of the most popular eateries in the swanky mall.
