went gynae for my yearly checkup..
suppose to go for e checkup in april..
but for many reasons delay til last week..

did a pap smear test,
nurse said she wil nt call me if everythg is ok..
if i receive call fr thm, means smthg is bad on e pap smear test result..

doc gv me a blood test as well..
to test whethr i 贫血..
& e result is yes, i m littl 贫血..
must eat more iron thg, such as 猪肝..

& of cos to check on my 2 'diamonds' (fibroids)

whts fibroids....?

fibroids r tumors of e smooth muscle tht normally found in e wall of e uterus..
they cn develop wthin e uterine wall itself or attach to it..

in my case, both r attached to my uterus..

fibroids cn cause irregular vaginal bleeding..
or an increase in menstrual bleeding..
sm tm wth blood clots..

it wil also cause pelvic pain.. & frequent urination..
so fibroids potentially cn cause many health problems..

treatment for fibroids depends on e symptoms..
e size & location of e fibroids..
age (how close the person is to menopause)..
e patient's desire to hv children..
& e patient's general health...

doc may follow e size & growth of e fibroids ovr tm,
to make sure no indicators of cancer r present..
if e person does nt hv symptoms such as vaginal bleeding..
or pelvic pain.. & if e fibroid is nt growing rapidly,
no treatment may be needed..
Sm patient's may, however, require more frequent pelvic exams,
to check on changes wth e fibroids..

removal of fibroids..
thr r several types of surgery options for treatment..
all hv both risks and benefits..
hv to discuss e risks and benefits with doc..
sm treatment options may nt be right for a woman,
becos of e characteristics of e fibroids or other health factors..

now grown to, e top fibroid 3cm & e left fibroid is 4cm..
seriously.. cum imagine i m carry 2 'diamonds' in my tummy everyday..

doc say to monitor..
he would like to see me agn in dec (3mths) tm..
we wil see hw it goes la..
cos i prefer to see him half a yr once rathr thn 3mths tm..
seeing him is nt cheap sm more..
my last visit last week is $191..

just hope they dun grow so fast..
dun gv me too much problem,
althou they r alrdy giving me prob..

had an undrstnding fr my doc,
he wil oni remove whn it grows up to more thn 5cm..

as i had 2 cesarean before..
doc prefer me to go thru e same op,
opening up e same pl,
same line tht he did for me whn i gv birth to my 2 darlings,
to remove my 2 fibroids..

according to my doc,
i wil nd at least a minimum of 2mths to recover..
wil nd ard $8k (estimate oni) ..
wil nd to stay in hospital of few days..
i wil hv 1 mth mc..

frankly.. i hope i cn no nd to go thru tht agn..
cos.. i cn stil remembr e pain,
of opening my tummy to get my 2 darlings ot..
e cuts, e wounds.. is reali painful.. >.<""
