i m experiencing pee & bowel pain..

pee pain is stil bearable.. bowel pain is a pain tht i cun describe..

for e past 3 weeks.. i hv to hold my breath, breath in & breath ot whn bowel..
is like giving birth.. lol.. is painful.. =(

i m having reali terrible pain during bowel lately..
e severe pain is reali reali bad, that i can't even breathe properly..

& tis morning.. whn i m doing my business..
is so painful tht i m gona faint..

i m wori.. cos is alrdy 3rd week..
shdnt me b recovering, as in getting bettr..?

did talk to my doc abt tis yestrdy but he didnt mention anythg at all..

so wori.. i went google..

& i came to knw tht thr r many ladies having same symptoms aftr hysterectomy (remove womb)..

tis is 1 of e article i read.. & is so similar to mine..

I am 2 weeks post hysterectomy and I was told the gas and bowel
pains would be the worst part of this. I have started taking
gas-x and or gas relief pills before or after meals,
they really help that excruciating pain. You can only take 4 a day but they really help walking as much as you can and warm drinks also help, fluids.

hi, am new to this website and really glad that i have found it!
I had a sub-total hysterectomy a week ago and although in general - considering everything that the body goes through - I did feel fine. However i am now getting these dreadful bowel pains particularly when expelling and I am literally clinging on for dear life the pain is so bad.
I do feel very comforted that it does seem to be a part of the
recovery process and feel so much better and less panicky
about the whole thing just by reading these posts.
I am just going to grin and bear it and hope that I feel better soon.
For all those lovely ladies out there who undergo these types
of operations, hopefully it will all work out for the best in the end.

So glad to have found this site.
My surgery was about a week and a half ago, and the bowel pain is so intense I shredded
through an entire roll of toilet paper with my fingers once, and bit through a pen another time.
It is like labor. My doctor says to wait a few weeks, that it may be due to swelling. I told him this severe pain was present during periods prior to surgery, and that's part of why the hysterectomy.
It's even worse now, and I thought that wasn't possible.
It does sound as though there may be hope by just giving it another few weeks
(I also have an infection, and am on oral antibiotics).
We'll see how it goes. Nice to have someone to share with.
